HOW MUCH TIME WILL THIS ADVENTURE TAKE?

Allow a full day for your Skydiving adventure.  Training begins at the Drop Zone at 8.30am with thorough and extensive safety briefings, full training and orientation.   Skydiving is a weather dependant sport so we only jump when the weather is acceptable for a safe skydive.  Please do not make any early afternoon bookings – keep this free for skydiving!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Clothing is optional for those extreme people who want to jump naked……but if you’re not that extreme, please wear comfortable, loose, casual clothing and fully enclosed flat sole shoes (sneakers).  Definately no work boots and no stiletto heels.

WHAT ARE THE AGE LIMITS?

12 -17 years of age must have written parental/guardian consent

Minimum age for a Solo Skydive is 16years of age with parental consent

Minimum age for a Tandem Skydive is 12years of age with parental consent

95years and above must also have written parental/guardian consent

DO I NEED A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE?

If you have obvious disabilities or any problems with your heart or limbs this may require a medical release. If you are currently on medication, we need to know what type and what for.  Any concerns please discuss with us first but the general rule is…..if you can run, you can jump and if you are able to drive a motor vehicle legally you’ll be fine.

WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT LIMITS?

90kg Tandem

130kg Solo Standard Freefall

115kg Accelerated Freefall

CAN MY FRIENDS AND I GO UP IN THE SAME PLANE TOGETHER?

YES, but it will cost……please enquire.

CAN I TAKE A CAMERA UP IN THE PLANE WITH ME?

NO.  This is illegal, however we have a professional film crew available to capture your skydive.

HOW FAST DO I FALL?

Freefall is usually 220kmph. Speeding is encouraged.

WHAT IF I AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS?

All skydivers are afraid of heights, this is why we do it and that’s why we wear parachutes.  Skydiving will not cure this.

WHAT IF I GET SCARED AND DO NOT WANT TO JUMP?

Once you have entered the aircraft after completing your training, don’t expect a refund.   You do not have to jump!

WHAT IF I GET MOTION SICKNESS?

Take appropriate medication and drink plenty of water. Eat light meals. We recommend NOT eating a large fast food meal prior to your jump.

HOW LONG IS THE FREEFALL?

This depends on your altitude and the height the instructor, or you, open your parachute.  Just ask your instructor but generally 20-60seconds for a solo jump or tandem jump.

CAN I TALK IN FREEFALL?

YES….but no-one will hear you

CAN I BREATHE IN FREEFALL?

YES….just breathe normally

DOES IT HURT WHEN THE PARACHUTE OPENS?

Not at all, it’s a lovely feeling when the parachute opens

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PARACHUTE DOESN’T OPEN?

You have  a spare parachute

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SPARE PARACHUTE DOESN’T OPEN?

Make sure you have ticked the Insurance option on your skydive application

HOW LONG IS THE CANOPY RIDE?

Depends on the weather and your weight but usually about 5mins

HOW HARD IS THE LANDING?

This can range from soft to hard, skydiving doesn’t have any guarantees

HOW DO I BECOME A LICENSED SKYDIVER?

Skip the tandem option and go SOLO straight away.  Solo is the same price as a Tandem Skydive and counts towards your Skydiving Licence.
